Supporters are hoping to speak to David Lampitt about Pompey’s takeover next week.

June 15 has been pencilled in as a date for the Supporters’ Conference to gather and meet with the Blues chief executive.

That is certain to see Lampitt asked plenty about the last week’s takeover by the Convers Sports Initiatives group.

Lampitt worked tirelessly to help ensure Vladimir Antonov, Roman Dubov and Chris Akers sealed their buyout from Balram Chainrai and Levi Kushnir.

That included working through the night last Tuesday before the deal was announced on Wednesday morning.

Lampitt is now set to meet with fans next week to answer their questions.

The group, which sees a number of supporters’ bodies get together, has been gathering since October.

They have since staged a number of meetings which have passed off successfully.

The group was formed at the suggestion of Pompey Supporters’ Trust board member Ashley Brown.

The club were receptive to that and, according to Blues fans’ liaison officer Johnny Moore, it has proved to be a useful link-up on all sides.

Moore said: ‘The conference has meant the fans can come together under one umbrella while retaining their identity.

‘The first meeting was last year and it has grown slowly from there. The Fans’ Day last season showed what can be achieved when everyone pulls together.’
