Doncaster climbed to third in the table after a 3-2 win at Plymouth – who remain rooted to the bottom.

John Marquis scored either side of a Matty Blair strike for Rovers while Ruben Lameiras and Graham Carey were on target for Argyle.

Jonson Clarke-Harris cancelled out Lee Cattermole's strike as Coventry came back from a goal down to draw 1-1 with Sunderland in Saturday's early kick-off.

Pompey travel to the Sky Blues on Tuesday night.

Barnsley climbed to fifth place after goals from Jacob Brown, Kieffer Moore and Mamadou Thiam saw them win 3-1 at Fleetwood. Joey Barton’s men had taken the lead through Harrison Biggins' 19th-minute free-kick.

Charlton stay sixth and complete the play-off places but they needed an injury-time equaliser from Chris Solly to earn a 2-2 draw at Luton.

Tariqe Fosu's first-half penalty handed the Addicks the advantage before Harry Cornick and James Collins scored to turn the match in Luton's favour, but Solly had the final say.

Oxford's struggles continued with a 2-1 defeat at AFC Wimbledon. Scott Wagstaff and Joe Pigott put the Dons in control before Cameron Brannagan pulled a goal back on the stroke of half-time.

Gillingham remain in the bottom four despite Tom Eaves' last-minute goal earning them a 2-2 draw at Shrewsbury.

Brandon Hanlan put the Gills in front but Lee Angol levelled up and Ollie Norburn must have thought he had won the game for Shrewsbury when he scored in the 88th minute. However, Eaves equalised to halt a four-match losing run for the Gills.

Billy Kee's seventh-minute penalty gave Accrington a 1-0 win at Walsall as Stanley extended their unbeaten run to nine league games.

Southend looked to be coasting to victory at Wycombe when goals from Theo Robinson, Tom Hopper and Simon Cox put them firmly in control.

But late efforts from Craig Mackail-Smith and Adebayo Akinfenwa set up a tense finale and it finished 3-2 at Adams Park.

It ended goalless between struggling Bradford and Bristol Rovers at Valley Parade while it was also 0-0 between Burton and Scunthorpe.
