Manager Jay Sadler was pleased with the opportunity to have the game.

It ensured the players are going to be match sharp for the match at Loughborough University which kicks off at 2pm on Sunday.

Sadler handed debuts to talented youngsters Mia Adaway, Ruth Topping and Abbie Riches.

They all played well and showed the quality in the ranks of the Pompey in the Community under-16 squad.

Adaway scored twice in the win.

Rachel Panting hit four goals, while Esther Anu added a hat-trick and Daisy McLachlan got two goals.

The Pompey boss said: ‘It was a good run out for the girls, gaining some valuable minutes in the tank.

‘Special mentions to Mia, Ruth and Abbie on making their first team debuts.

‘Also, a big thank you to Brentford for their fantastic hospitality.’

Hosts Brentford are four levels below the Blues in the first division of the Greater London Women’s Football League.

Panting got the first two goals and went on to complete her treble before half-time.

Anu added two more in the first period to make it 5-0 at the break.
