The table-topping Blues have only kept one shutout in their past seven League One matches.

Some of the goals that have beaten MacGillivray during that period have been unstoppable, however.

Aaron Wilbraham's thunderbolt for Rochdale, Tom Eaves' effort in Gillingham's 2-0 win at Fratton Park and James Hanson's 25 yarder at AFC Wimbledon on Saturday all left the Pompey keeper helpless between the posts.

Although MacGillivray is frustrated his side haven't registered more clean sheets, he stressed he's not too concerned.

The Yorkshireman insisted picking up victories is far more important.

MacGillivray said: '˜It's frustrating because there have been a few games now where we haven't managed to get the clean sheet we've probably warranted.

'˜Unfortunately, someone has come up with a very good goal from their perspective but we won't let ourselves dwell on it because ultimately we are picking up results.

'˜You look at James Hanson's at the weekend. He's not well known for scoring outside the box and certainly isn't well known for scoring with his left foot, either.

'˜He's gone and hit it first time into the top corner.

'˜Things are going to beat me and get past the back four '“ that's just part and parcel of it.

'˜Yes, there are things we can work on to stop these wonder goals going in. But we've got to try not to dwell on it too much because we are picking up the results.

'˜Eaves was another one and Willbrham against Rochdale. But, ultimately, we are not conceding a hatful of goals week on week, which is positive.

'˜It always gives us a chance of picking up three points if you can keep it at zeros and ones.'
