Sam Magri will be bidding for a World Cup semi-final appearance when he takes on Germany tonight.
The Pompey starlet will be in the England under-17 side for their quarter-final clash at 9pm BST.
Magri scored the first spot-kick in the penalty shoot-out success against Mexico in the previous round.
Now the central defender will line-up against Germany at the Estadio Morelos, Morelia, as England look to progress even further in the Mexico competition.
And team-mate and Liverpool striker Adam Morgan revealed John Peacock’s side were confident of triumphing.
Morgan said: ‘We are always confident going into any game, England v Germany games are always close and exciting to watch.
‘The lads are confident they can beat anyone at this tournament and we will be giving it our best shot to reach the semi-finals of a World Cup.
‘Even though the conditions were awful, we played well throughout the Mexico match and deserved the victory.
‘The lads are delighted we got through and can’t wait for the next game against Germany.
‘Our success is mainly down to determination. We have some fantastic players and with our firepower in attack we can beat anyone on our day.
‘We have a fantastic team spirit in the camp and it definitely shows on the pitch.
‘It’s fantastic for all the squad to have game time at a World Cup.
‘It’s a brilliant experience for all 21 players to play and be involved at such a young age.
‘It will definitely help us in the future, there is no doubt about that.’
