Adam May has joined Aldershot on loan.
The midfielder has linked-up with the National League side on a youth loan until December 5.
For May it represents precious first-team action having featured just once in all competitions for Pompey so far this season.
His sole outing was a 62-minute appearance against Gillingham in the Checkatrade Trophy.
That is in contrast to 18 matches last season, including 10 League One starts.
Aldershot, who are managed by former Pompey coach Gary Waddock, are presently 19th in the table.
Under terms of the youth loan, May must be aged under 21 for the duration of the Recreation Ground switch.
He will then return to Fratton Park the day before his 21st birthday on December 6.
