Have your say

Nine days into the new year and Pompey’s calendar of 2013 is making for some unintentionally comical viewing.

The club’s official calendar for the year provides a symbol of the chaos enveloping the Blues at present.

Delve into the pictures adorning the 12 months and all becomes clear.

Take January, for example, with captain Brian Howard the curtain-raiser to the year.

A decent choice you would have thought. Until he was told he had no future at Fratton Park on Monday.

Maybe, you’d have better luck with February? Ah, that’s Josh Thompson and he’s a Colchester player now.

Thank heavens it’s Liam Walker appearing in March, although with six starts to his name this season he’s hardly a been a first-team fixture.

Young guns Ashley Harris (May) and Adam Webster (August) have had fleeting appearances this season, but look good choices with the way things are panning out for the months ahead.

Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for April’s poster boy Luke Rodgers, who left for Shrewsbury in November.

In fact, all of the remaining months of the year are players who have either left the club - or have been told they are on their way.

Jack Compton (June), Mustapha Dumbuya (July), Jon Harley (September), Lee Williamson (October), Izale McLeod (November) and former loanee Mikkel Andersen (December) are the other pin-ups.

Credit goes to Tim Nobbs, who highlighted the humorous but also vaguely sad indictment of the way things are panning out in Fratton Park.

His tweeted his calendar with one or two modifications, and it now looks well on the way to going viral.
