Balram Chainrai has promised to bring in a ‘couple’ of emergency loans when the window opens today.
Talking in the South China Post yesterday, the club’s joint-owner revealed more signings are on the way.
And he also defended the sale of John Utaka.
He said: ‘We will be making a couple of loan signings when the loan window opens.
‘Utaka was sold because he was on a salary of almost £40,000 a week.
‘He was part of the old legacy we inherited. We need to bring down the overheads.
‘We are under the watchful eye of the Football League, who supervise what we do, who we sign and what we spend.’
