Paul Cook stressed the importance of a strong team performance against Coventry.
The Blues picked up a 2-1 win over the League One side tonight.with goals from Conor Chaplin and Gareth Evans in the first half.
Chaplin shone as he opened the scoring and made the other for Evans.
Evans, on trial after leaving Fleetwood, also made his mark with fellow triallist defenders Matt Clarke and Dutchman Frank van der Struijk looking comfortable.
But Cook was happy with how it worked for his side as a collective.
He said:’It was a good night for us.
‘It was a good performance, great support and turnout from our fans.
‘We had some strong performances, but, as I’ve said for a while, individual performances don’t win you anything.
‘I thought it was a strong performance from the group.
‘That was apparent for everyone to see.’
