Pompey Academy ended a seven-game losing run in Youth Alliance League south west division with a 3-0 success at Yeovil yesterday.

It was an impress return to form for Mikey Harris’ side, who mastered the blustery conditions at the Glovers far better than the hosts.

Christian Oxlade-Chamberlain gave the Blues a half-time lead when he unleased a speculative 25-yard effort that flew into the net.

The dominant visitors doubled their advantage in the second period when Sam Woodward slotted home following good work from Brandon Joseph-Buadi and subsitute Dan Smith in the build up.

And Harris’ side sealed an overdue three points late on when Kaleem Haitham showed great composure to slot into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
