Position: Central midfield

Who is your football hero? Steven Gerrard and Zinedine Zidane

What has been your best moment in football to date? Our FA Youth Cup match against Manchester City – the fans at Fratton Park were unreal.

What is your best attribute as a player? Diags (diagonal passing)

What is your best piece of advice? Don’t put limitations on your abilities. If you do, it means you’re accepting you can’t get any better.

Who is your favourite Pompey player? Adam May

Are you good at any other sports? I’m average at golf.

Are there any other sportsmen or women in your family? My dad (Tommy Widdrington) is an ex-pro, who played for our rivals down the road. And my brother, Kai, dances all over the world.

What are your hobbies outside of football? Spending time with my family.

If I wasn’t a footballer, I would be... In the army

Do you have any phobias or superstitions? I kiss my tattoo of my grandma when I walk out on to the pitch.

What is your signature dish? (Rare) steak and chips

Which three celebrities would you invite to dinner? Nicole Scherzinger, Beyoncé and Mila Kunis

What are you glued to on the box? I’m watching a series called Power at the moment.

What’s playing on your Ipod? I’m listening to all sorts. I have a pretty varied playlist but Bryson Tiller and James Morrison are the two most recently played.

Where do you see yourself in five years? Playing professional football at the best level I can, while giving a little back to my family who have kept me so grounded growing up.
