Pompey fans will travel more than 7,300 miles this season to support their club.

New research has revealed the average Blues fan will spend more than 130 hours and £1,213 travelling to League Two fixtures.

That is an average of 5hr 41min for each round trip, £1,022 on fuel and £191 on parking.

Pompey’s 7,305-mile tally contributes to a total of 178,000 for the division as a whole.

Unsurprisingly, Carlisle United top the distance table with a total of 11,877 miles on the road.

Northampton Town fans have got it easy, though, as they will spend clock up just 5,390 getting to fixtures.

The research comes from JustPark, the parking app which lets football fans book cut-price parking spaces on local people’s driveways.

Supporters can clock up their own totals using this football fan tracker.
