Have your say

I’m looking forward to this season, hopefully we can at least reach the play-offs.

It starts tomorrow against Dagenham & Redbridge and I can’t wait to watch our new players in action. Fingers crossed we will win this first game.

I know people are saying we are going to win the league but the bookies make things worse by raising expectations.

I definitely don’t want to get my hopes up so I’m looking at the play-offs first and foremost, with Matt Tubbs again scoring a lot of goals.

As we are the biggest club in League Two, the bookies think we are going to walk it. It’s not that simple, though, as we have seen in the past.

This is actually the most interesting division in the Football League. The Premier League is boring, while at our level anything can happen. Each game has a lot to play for.

I haven’t got a clue what line-up Paul Cook will go for, I’m still trying to work out what my Pompey first team would look like.

On Tuesday I was at the open training session and the pitch looked in good order, while the players appeared to be in good shape.

I haven’t been to any friendlies this summer so it was great to see the players together with a ball at their feet.

I really like the look of Christian Burgess, who I have heard a lot of good things about and seems to be a positive player on the ball.

Meanwhile, I am still excited about Tubbs, who looked sharp in that training session and hopefully can get a few early goals this season.

It’s just a shame Paul Robinson is no longer around. When I’d heard he had left I didn’t quite believe it and was gutted.

Good luck to him.
