POMPEY retained the Portsmouth FA Ladies’ Cup with a thrilling 3-2 comeback win over University of Portsmouth at Dover Road last night.
With the first team training ahead of their big league cup match on Sunday, it was a Pompey reserve side who took on the university.
They went 2-0 down before Sarah Kempson shot them back into it.
Nadine Bazan added a superb second to level and Japanese player Ai Shindo got the winner early in the second half.
The first team travel to Boldmere St Michaels FC on Sunday for their huge FA Women’s Premier League Cup semi-final tie with Aston Villa (2pm).
Meanwhile, AFC Portsmouth are through to the Hampshire Women’s League Junior Cup final.
They will face AFC Boscombe Albion at Alton Town on Sunday (10.30am).
