Pompey have completed the signing of Carl Baker

Baker has arrived at Fratton Park on a two-year deal after leaving MK Dons.

Paul Cook’s interest in the 33-year-old was first revealed at portsmouth.co.uk last Thursday.

And now the Blues boss is celebrating landing the man he believes can make a difference to Pompey’s promotion hopes with his experience and quality.

Baker has scored 15 goals in 72 appearances for the Dons, who were relegated from the Championship last season.

He picked up player-of-the-year plaudits there and at previous club Coventry, where he was a popular figure.

The attacking midfielder becomes Pompey’s third signing of the summer after Matt Clarke and Danny Rose’s arrivals.
