Pompey have signed Kieron Freeman on loan from Sheffield United for the remainder of the season.
The versatile defender, who can play at left or right full-back, has arrived at Fratton Park to bolster Paul Cook’s League Two promotion-chasing squad.
The 23-year-old Welshman becomes the second Blades player to sign on loan for the Blues, following striker Marc McNulty’s arrival earlier in the campaign.
Freeman, who has played 22 games for this season, also links up with fellow former Sheffield United team-mates Ben Davies and Michael Doyle on the south coast.
The Wales under-21 international will not be available for Saturday’s FA Cup clash with Bournemouth, though, having appeared – and scored – for the Blades in the competition already this term.
