Pompey have signed Sheffield United striker Marc McNulty on an emergency loan until January.
And the 23-year-old is available to play for the Blues in tomorrow’s FA Cup first-round clash with Macclesfield Town (3pm).
McNulty is the second Sheffield-based front man to join Paul Cook’s squad in as many months, following the arrival of Wednesday forward Caolan Lavery in October.
Scotsman McNulty scored the only goal in a 1–0 win over Southampton to send United to the semi-finals of the League Cup last season – one of 13 in that campaign.
But having made just eight appearances for the Blades this term, scoring one goal, he has linked up with Pompey on a short-term deal.
