Crunch time approaching for fledgling Pompey talents

Conor Chaplin was the match-winner as Pompey toppled Derby in the Capital One Cup last night.

The Blues picked up an impressive 2-1 win over the Championship side on a night of cracking football at Fratton Park.

Debutant Adam McGurk gave the home side the lead before Jason Shackell equalised for the Rams.

The News chief sports writer Neil Allen, though, felt Pompey defender Adam Webster was the man of the match.
