Dion Donohue is back in training after his groin issue, but Saturday is expected to be too soon for the Welshman.

He is earmarked for a return to action next week in the Premier League Cup.

Andre Green is available for selection after completing his loan move from Aston Villa.

Brett Pitman and Ben Close are both pushing for starts after impressing at Doncaster.

Meanwhile, former Pompey loanee Stuart O’Keefe will make his Plymouth league debut on Saturday.

The Cardiff midfielder, who joined the Pilgrims on loan until January, featured in Wednesday night’s 3-2 defeat at Millwall in the Carabao Cup.

But he will open his League One account at the club he turned out for 25 times for last season.

Creative force Graham Carey is expected to receive a recall as the bottom club seek to climb the table, coming in for Antoni Sarcevic.

Meanwhile, manager Derek Adams is serving a two-match touchline ban.
