Pompey Academy will face Bristol Rovers in the first round of the FA Youth Cup

The Blues have been drawn at home against the Pirates and the tie has to be played by Saturday, November 3.

A venue has yet to be confirmed, although it’s likely the match will be staged at Fratton Park.

Pompey have already played Rovers in the Youth Alliance south west division this season, romping to a 6-2 victory at the club’s Roko training base.

Mark Kelly's side reached the third round of the competition last season.

Following victories over Gillingham and Lewes, the Blues faced Leicester in the third round.

Pompey delivered a decent performance against the Foxes but missed a number of clear-cut chances and fell to a 2-1 extra-time defeat.
