Pompey Academy were thrashed 7-0 at AFC Bournemouth in the Youth Alliance southwest division today.
Jake Scrimshaw grabbed four goals in an afternoon to forget for the young Blues at Canford Park.
The hosts took the lead in the early stages through Scrimshaw.
Bournemouth should have doubled their advantage in the 13th minute from the penalty spot but Jake Cope smashed his effort against the crossbar.
Pompey keeper Leon Pitman was called into action four minutes later, making saves from Cope and Scrimshaw.
But the Cherries eventually got their second on 25 minutes when Scrimshaw again netted.
And the forward wrapped up his hat-trick with a spot-kick in the 33rd minute.
Bournemouth continued to dominate after half-time, with Ryan Glover notching his side’s fourth goal in the 64 minutes.
Scrimshaw netted his fourth in the 68th minute, while James Oliver and Euan’s late strikes inflicted further damage on Pompey.
Mark Kelly’s side are back in action next Saturday against Bristol Rovers at the club’s Roko training base.
