Portsmouth fans to travel to Peterborough en masse for top-of-the-table clash

Pompey fans will travel in force to Peterborough for Saturday’s top-of-the-table clash.

The Fratton faithful have already snapped up more than 2,100 tickets for the battle between the top-two sides in League One at London Road.

The Blues were initially given an allowance of 1,650 tickets when they went on sale last week.

But the demand among away supporters has been high.

And, as a result, the Posh have made the game an all-ticket affair.

Away fans will be located in the Motorpoint Stand for the trip to face Steve Evans’ leaders.

Both sides have made a superb start to the campaign and underlined their early-season title credentials.

Pompey and Peterborough are unbeaten from their opening seven league matches.

It’s the Posh who sit at the summit of the table, though, on 19 points.

Evans’ troops have won six and drawn one to date.

On Saturday, they moved two points clear of Kenny Jackett’s side with a 3-2 victory at Southend on Saturday.

The Blues, meanwhile, have delivered five successes and two draws so far and lost ground after drawing 1-1 with Shrewsbury.

However, a win at London Road would see Pompey leapfrog Peterborough and go top by a point.
