Louis Dennis told of his delight after making his Fratton Park debut.

The forward was handed his PO4 bow in Pompey’s 3-2 Checkatrade Trophy victory over Tottenham Hotspur under-21s last night.

After arriving on a free transfer from Bromley in May, Dennis has had to remain patient and wait for first-team opportunities.

The 26-year-old made his first Blues appearance at Crawley last month, before being handed his maiden Fratton Park start against Spurs.

Dennis delivered an eye-catching performance under the lights.

He won the free-kick which led to Gareth Evans’ goal and was awarded man of the match.

And the ex-Barnet talent was ‘buzzing’ to finally feature at Fortress Fratton.

He wrote on Twitter: ‘Good win.. Buzzing to finally get on the pitch at Fratton Park tonight!’
