Evans received 30 per cent of the ballot held by Snack Media to clinch the prize.

He finished ahead of Charlton midfielder Joe Aribo (20 per cent), Elliot Lee of Luton (19), Sunderland winger Aiden McGeady (19 ), Joe Jacobson of Wycombe (10) and Gillingham talisman Tom Eaves (eight).

Evans featured in all three of Kenny Jackett’s troops’ League One games last month.

The fans’ favourite played a key role as Pompey continued their title charge.

He was the Blues’ match-winner in the 1-0 win at Bradford on November 3, as well as netting the decisive goal in his side’s 2-1 victory at Scunthorpe on November 24.

Evans also featured in the 2-0 victory against Walsall three days later.

The ex-Fleetwood man becomes the second Pompey player to scoop a PFA Bristol Street Motors League One Fans’ Player of the Month award this season.

Jamal Lowe grabbed the gong in August.
