Pompey have organised a behind-closed-doors friendly for next week.
The Blues' reserves travel to Reading on Tuesday, September 11 (1pm).
Dion Donohue is earmarked to play a full 90 minutes as he continues his rehabilitation from his groin injury.
The Welshman will only make his second appearance since last campaign after missing the entire pre-season schedule – firstly through foot blisters and then glandular fever.
Donohue, 25, featured for 62 minutes in Pompey Reserves’ 2-1 Premier League Cup qualifier defeat at Plymouth on Tuesday.
The former Chesterfield man captained the side at Home Park. He was handed a 62-minute run-out before being replaced by James Whiting.
The clash against the Royals will be the Blues’ second behind-closed-doors friendly this term.
The likes of Luke McGee, Joe Mason and Louis Dennis – who still awaits his Blues debut – are also set to be involved.
