The Pompey forward has been called-up to Martin O'Neill's side for their friendly against Poland in Wroclaw on Tuesday.

Curtis was on duty with the Boys in Green's under-21s for their European Championship qualifiers and missed the Blues' win over Gillingham on Tuesday and draw against Shrewsbury yesterday.

The former Derry City talent rescued Ireland a 1-1 draw against Kosovo on Friday night, scoring a superb 81st-minute solo goal.

However, Curtis also picked up a booking during the clash in Mitrovica, meaning he is suspended for Tuesday's encounter against Germany in Dublin.

Yet the 22-year-old has subsequently been called-up to Ireland's senior squad to face Poland.

Curtis has been in rampant form for Pompey since completing his summer arrival, registering five goals and three assists in six League One appearances.
