Peterborough leapfrogged Pompey in the League One table as they fought from behind to deliver a 2-1 victory over Walsall at London Road.
The Saddlers took the lead in the ninth minute through Julien Ngoy’s strike from outside the box.
However, Omar Bogle equalised for managerless Posh six minutes before half-time.
Jack Baldwin then gave Peterborough the three points when he scored on 53 minutes.
The Posh moved into eighth in the table, with Kenny Jackett’s side subsequently dropping to 10th.
Meanwhile, Blackburn stretched four points clear at the summit of the division with a 3-0 success at AFC Wimbledon.
Bradley Dack notched a double either side of the interval, while Elliot Bennett was also on the mark for Rovers.
Bristol Rovers’ clash against Wigan was postponed due to the frozen pitch at the Memorial Stadium.
