Paul Robinson has completed a permanent switch to Pompey on an 18-month contract.
The central defender – who today celebrates his 33rd birthday – was a free agent after yesterday negotiating his release from Millwall.
That has allowed him to sign for Andy Awford’s side following a successful loan spell consisting of 25 appearances.
Robinson’s decision to pledge his future to Pompey has come as a major boost, the former Lions man establishing himself as Awford’s most consistent defender.
Pompey are now seeking to tie-up a deal for Matt Tubbs ahead of Saturday’s trip to Newport County.
