Pompey returned to League One action and picked up all three points at Scunthorpe.

The Blues had been without a league match since November 3 prior to the 2-1 victory at Glanford Park.

Tom Naylor and Gareth Evans netted in the space of six first-half minutes, as Pompey went four points clear at the top.

Kenny Jackett’s troops were put under pressure after Lee Novak pulled one back on the hour mark, but the visitors defended doggedly to clinch the success.
