Lewis Stockford will get his long-awaited opportunity to face arch-rivals Southampton tomorrow.

The 19-year-old Southsea-based former Priory School student is back in the Academy ranks for the clash with their Hampshire neighbours (11am, Wellington Sports Ground).

Stockford, who spent a spell on loan at Salisbury earlier this season, expressed his delight at his inclusion for the game via the social networking website Twitter.

Pompey could climb off the bottom of the Premier Academy League group A with a victory, following their 1-1 draw at Ipswich last weekend.

With the FA Youth Cup clash against Swansea at Fratton Park on Wednesday, a decent performance against the old enemy will be a useful confidence booster.

And having grabbed a 1-0 win in the reverse fixture back in November, the local bragging rights will be under scrutiny once again after the recent 1-1 draw between the two senior teams.

While Stockford is expected to be included, Adam Webster and Ryan Williams may not be in the team if they stay with the senior squad for the first-team clash with West Ham.

Another man to miss out will be new recruit Dan Thompson, who has been loaned out to the Hawks and will feature in their clash with Maidenhead United.
