Pompey have so far sold 120 tickets for their FA Youth Cup clash at Southampton.
Andy Awford’s Academy side will face their fierce neighbours at St Mary’s on Tuesday, December 10 (kick off 7pm).
It’s a mouth-watering occasion for the Blues, who defeated non-league clubs Moneyfields and Barton Rovers to reach the third round.
Now they will lock horns with Jason Dodd’s Southampton side for a fascinating local derby.
Initially, it was feared visiting supporters would not be allowed entry over fears there may be trouble.
However, following police consultation, Blues followers can travel to St Mary’s for the fixture – although are urged to buy tickets in advance.
They are priced at £5 for adults and £2 for seniors (65+) and juniors (under 17) and are available from Fratton Park.
With more than a week to go before the clash, Pompey’s ticket office are already reporting interest from supporters keen to attend.
It’s shaping up for an eagerly-anticipated fixture, particularly among the many local lads in Awford’s young squad.
As for Southampton, they have a number of former Pompey players on their books who opted to leave Fratton several years ago.
The Academy have already beaten Moneyfields (12-0) and Barton Rovers (1-0) to get this far in the prestigious competition.
