POMPEY fans face a nailbiting few days ahead as the bids to buy the club were submitted last night.
Both Portpin and the Pompey Supporters’ Trust finalised their bids to buy the club before administrator PKF’s deadline passed.
Each bidder’s document sets out its business plan.
It will be up to Pompey joint administrator Trevor Birch to examine both documents and decide which of them will give the football club’s creditors the best deal.
He is not able to make a decision based on any part of Pompey’s past, or be influenced by which bid fans say they would most like to see succeed.
The News understands the process will take at least until after the bank holiday weekend.
In a statement through PKF, administrator Trevor Birch said: ‘We have received a revised offer from the trust and will study the documents in detail over the next few days.
‘There will be aspects that need further clarification and we will work with the trust to achieve that clarity before deciding how best to proceed with the trust and Portpin offers.’
