It was an outpouring of emotion which showed exactly how much victory meant to Pompey manager Paul Cook.
The Blues’ 2-0 triumph over Blackpool tonight moved the home side up to fifth in the League Two table to bolster hopes of automatic promotion.
And two home wins in the space of four days, following Saturday’s 2-0 success over Accrington, had Cook literally jumping for joy on the touchline.
Fan footage captured the moment the 49-year-old punched the air in delight after recent signing Eoin Doyle found the back of the net in added time to confirm a night to savour on the south coast.
Gareth Evans had earlier put the home side ahead.
