Pompey kick off 2016 by entertaining Crawley Town at Fratton Park – and two of our readers will attend for free.

As part of our Christmas countdown, The News has teamed up with Pompey to give one lucky reader a pair of tickets for the Saturday, January 2 clash.

The fixture offers Paul Cook’s men the chance to strengthen their promotion push on home turf against the mid-table Red Devils.

August’s corresponding match was an immensely frustrating one for the Blues, who were held to a goalless draw.

And with the sides meeting again in each’s first match of the new calander year, Cook will be hoping to get off to a winning start in 2016.

For the 3pm encounter, tickets are priced at £20 for adults and £15 for seniors and young persons.

However, our competition has two up for grabs.

To be in with a chance, correctly answer the following question.

Which former Pompey defender currently plays for Crawley?

a) Dan Butler

b) Sonny Bradley

c) Joe Devera

Email your answer, along with a contact number, to sport@thenews.co.uk before midnight on Tuesday, December 24 to be in with a chance.

The draw will be made on Monday, December 28, when the winner will be informed.

Normal News competition rules apply.
