Joe Mason has been ruled out of Pompey’s next two matches.
The forward sustained a groin injury after two minutes of the reserves’ Central League Cup defeat to AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday afternoon.
As a consequence, he is expected to spend around 10 days on the sidelines.
That will rule him out of Saturday’s FA Cup trip to Maidenhead, followed by the visit of Spurs under-21s in the Checkatrade Trophy (Tuesday, November 13).
The Wolves loanee’s return target is the Saturday, November 24, visit to Scunthorpe.
Kenny Jackett said: ‘Joe is out for a week to 10 days maybe, he will miss Saturday and Tuesday, but hopefully Scunthorpe will be okay.
‘He has been consistently substitute without getting that break when the team has been settled, pretty successful and a lack of injuries so far.’
