Portsmouth boss: No dwelling on Burgess mistake
Kenny Jackett insists there has been no dwelling on Christian Burgess' Shrewsbury error.
Instead the Blues have focused on looking towards Saturday's visit to fellow high-fliers Peterborough.
Burgess' misjudgement of a header gifted Greg Docherty the opportunity to net in last weekend's visit of the Shrews.
Brett Pitman subsequently scored a late penalty to secure a 1-1 Fratton Park draw.
With Jack Whatmough still sidelined, Burgess will retain his place for the trip to his former club.
The central defender made 33 appearances for the Posh, before moving to Fratton Park for an undisclosed fee in June 2015.
And Jackett is adamant his team swiftly moved on from Burgess' mistake.
Pompey's boss said: '˜Christian has been very good this week, he's a good trainer and good professional.
'˜His games so far this season have been very good, I have been impressed with all three centre-backs.
'˜While we did talk about the Shrewsbury game, really we look forward. This week, my work with the defenders has been about tomorrow's game rather than last weekend's.
'˜We look at different scenarios and put those up in training. We also look at a video of the past game, but only in relation to what they are doing this week.
'˜I think you have to touch on it, learn from it, but then have an overall policy of looking forward and not back.
'˜Christian's had a good season so far. I think he's played very well.'
