Maidenhead's trip to the Hawks comes at a convenient time for Jackett.

Pompey coach and Hawks defender Paul Robinson let the Blues boss know about the game '“ and he intends to take advantage by attending the fixture himself.

Jackett said: '˜Robbo was saying to me that they've got them tonight.

'˜It's a good opportunity for us.

'˜Like most clubs you always want to get into the later rounds and, if you can, get a big draw.

'˜For a League One club that's what we want to do.

'˜Number one we want to go as far as we can in the FA Cup, number two to draw a big club or some big clubs.

'˜To do that you need to get through these rounds and these type of ties are difficult and tricky.

'˜We'll respect them but realise if we want to do well in the competition you go there and be good enough to beat them on the day.'
