And while he also won't be involved in Pompey's Checkatrade Trophy clash against Gillingham on Tuesday, he will play for the reserves on the same night.
Manager Kenny Jackett said: 'We have no fresh injury concerns.
'Donohue was the latest one with his groin but he's over that and is training.

'That will be his first game.'
Nathan Thompson is also back from his knee problem he picked up in the curtain-raiser victory over Luton.
The right-back marked his return for the reserves in a 3-1 friendly victory against Swindon behind-closed-doors on Tuesday.
Thompson came through that game unscathed and is available for Derek Adams' side's trip to Fratton Park.
Jackett added: 'Thompson has no problems and I'm looking forward to three home games with all but one available.'
