The Reading lad has relished consistent minutes at Fratton Park, having not made a single outing at St Andrew's since August.

The defender has a year left on his Birmingham deal, with the club holding an option for an additional 12 months.

Seddon conceded Pep Clotet's men hold the key to where his future lies, although he wants to a permanent home wherever that might be.

He told Football League World: ‘My current deal I signed two years with an option for the club to extend it to a third year. It will run out at the end of next season, but at that time the club have an option.

‘For me, first things first, I want to complete the season and do everything I can to possibly get Portsmouth promoted and then at the end of the season, it’s seeing where you’re at and seeing what Birmingham’s thought are to see if they’re open to it.

‘Obviously,as a player, you’re open to anywhere that is going to believe in you and play you in games, but when you’re contracted to a club, it’s more than just your want for things that comes into it.

‘I like playing football on a Saturday so I’m open to anything that improves my chances of that.’
