Blackpool prove their pulling power as Fleetwood snap up midfielder serving lengthy ban - how Portsmouth's League One rivals have recruited in past week

In a week which saw Pompey sign former Wigan attacking midfielder Michael Jacobs, plenty of other League One clubs were also improving their ranks.

In total, 15 new arrivals were registered by clubs in League One, with Swindon the busiest as they added three players to their squad.

The Blues’ opponents on Saturday, newly-relegated Wigan, were also active. Manager John Sheridan brought in two new arrivals as he looks to bolster his numbers.

Meanwhile, Burton and Gillingham did similar business as they look to ensure they are well covered for the season ahead.

Notably, none of the division’s so-called bigger clubs dipped their toe in the transfer market over the past seven days – except for Pompey, of course, with Jacobs representing their fourth new arrival of the summer.

Here’s what other deals were completed over the past week.
