Kenny Jackett wants Pompey to embrace their Fratton Park double header.

And the Blues boss feels there’s no reason for his side not to embrace home comforts positively in the next two fixtures.

Pompey welcome Fleetwood to PO4 on Saturday, with Burton Albion visiting next Tuesday.

The side will be looking to echo outstanding away form after failing to win their past three home fixtures, spanning a period back to the start of September.

Jackett said: ‘We have an outstanding away record so far, but our talk and thoughts after the Wimbledon game was mostly about looking forward to Fleetwood and Burton the following Tuesday.

‘We want performances and results to be better at home than they have been, and that’s what we need to look towards quickly.

‘We’re in a great position in the league. We have to look forward to the home games as a side in our position.

‘We have to feel positive about them even if we know neither of them are going to be easy, they never are.

‘But we have to work positively towards them and work out a way of making sure we are right.’

Jackett has been stressing his message to attack the home games in a positive mindset to his players.

He added: The Wimbledon result capped a good week for us after our first league defeat, but now we have to look forward – that’s the main message to the players.

‘We’re in a great position and we have to capitalise on that going into two games at home.’
