The Blues have lost their past two games against Hull City and Lincoln, meaning they’ve dropped to fifth in the table.

Things don’t get much easier for Kenny Jackett’s side, either, as they face another promotion rival in the sixth-placed Addicks.

Pompey will have to make-do without Jack Whatmough after the centre-back’s appeal for his red card against Lincoln was turned down.

That means Rasmus Nicolaisen will start in defence in Whatmough’s place and will be hoping to impress his boss.

Jackett will have to be at his tactical best against his Charlton’s boss Lee Bowyer, having lost all four matches when he’s faced his counterpart.
