The centre-back has departed Fratton Park after not being handed a new deal upon the expiry of his contract.

The Blues held the option of an additional year but chose not to trigger that clause.

Casey made three appearances for Kenny Jackett's side after graduating through the club's academy.

They all arrived on the way to Pompey's Checkatrade Trophy triumph during the 2018-19 season, with the towering defender featuring in wins over Arsenal under-21s, Southend and Peterborough.

This campaign, Casey was out of the Blues first-team fray.

Despite being told of his release by Pompey during lockdown amid the coronavirus crisis, the Botley lad opted to extend his deal to cover any potential injuries ahead of the League One play-offs.

He wasn't required, however, as the Blues suffered a penalty shootout defeat to Oxford in the semi-finals.

Casey is now preparing to train with Yeovil when they return to training, after losing to Barnet in their National League play-off eliminator last week.

However, Yeovil manager Darren Sarll will again run the rule over Casey as he seeks to win a contract at Huish Park.
