The home secretary this morning confirmed heightened restrictions will be placed on Portsmouth, Gosport and Havant following the government’s latest review over how areas are categorised.

That means fans will no longer be allowed to attend games following their return earlier this month.

The restrictions will come into place on Saturday morning and will impact Swindon’s visit to Fratton Park on Boxing Day.

Bizarrely, Pompey’s ensuing five games all take place on the road with the next home match the visit of Hull on January 23.
