Former favourite Lomana LuaLua backs Portsmouth to overcome Sunderland in League One play-off semi-final

Lomana LuaLua has called on Pompey to make tomorrow ‘a blue day’ by reaching the League One play-off final.

The former Fratton favourite is confident Kenny Jackett’s men can overcome Sunderland in the second leg of the semi-final.

The Blues trail the Black Cats at the halfway stage of the tie following their 1-0 loss at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.

A crackling atmosphere is expected inside PO4 tomorrow as Pompey aim to reach Wembley for a second time this term.

And LuaLua, who scored 19 goals in 91 appearances for the Blues, has backed Jackett’s men to do the business against Sunderland.

He wrote on Twitter: ‘Nothing is impossible, so let's all be #1 and let's make it a blue day tomorrow. Come on boys! We can do this. #playuppompey #frattonpark @officialpompey #pompey.’
