I can see Pompey winning automatic promotion this season, although not as League One winners.

My concern is the away form. We may be absolutely brilliant at Fratton Park, but there are some tough games on the road coming up and we’re not getting many points.

The top-two spots are definitely up for grabs. Plenty of teams are looking at them and each have their issues – for Pompey it’s the away form.

I’m hoping we can take the basis of our Arsenal performance into the trip to Peterborough, there were some good displays, with Marcus Harness, in particular, looking sharp.

I also thought James Bolton played really well at centre-half – and that tackle on Lucas Torreira wasn’t a foul, there was nothing wrong with it.

That’s the sanitised Premier League, I’m afraid, nobody on the TV coverage suggested it was a bad tackle, and Arsenal’s players also didn’t protest.

Bolton got the ball and took the man, nothing wrong with that, it was a perfectly good challenge.

With Christian Burgess suspended, Bolton needs to return to right-back, with Jack Whatmough partnering Sean Raggett at the centre of defence.

I can why Kenny Jackett didn’t select Whatmough on Monday night, it’s a big ask to play three games in a week.

When he returned fit, it coincided with Raggett turning his form around – a month earlier and Jack would have walked back into the team. He and Matt Clarke were as good a centre-half partnership as we’ve had for years.

Fair play to Raggett, I have criticised him in the past, but he has been brilliant during the last few months and I think having Alex Bass in goal has helped.

From my seat in the Fratton end, I’ve seen Craig MacGillivray giving Raggett pelters every game, which couldn't have helped. I was joining in as well, but he wouldn't have heard me!

I’m going for a 2-1 victory to Pompey, it’s a game I definitely feel we can get something from.

Pompey (4-2-3-1): Bass, Bolton, Whatmough, Raggett, Seddon, Naylor, McGeehan, Harness, Cannon, Curtis, Harrison.
