'Great team spirit' - Kenny Jackett's verdict on Portsmouth's win at Fleetwood
John Marquis’ 16th-minute header proved the difference in tight affair at Highbury Stadium.
Despite Fleetwood dominating possession for large parts of the second half, they were limited to few goalscoring chances.

Hide AdBut the Blues were resolute defensively to return to Fratton Park with all three points.
And Jackett was delighted with his side’s attitude as Pompey moved within a point of the League One automatic promotion places.
He said: ‘Fleetwood are a very good side and it’s a difficult place to come to.
‘We started quite poorly and Fleetwood started the better of the two sides.

Hide Ad‘But we decided the game with an excellent goal. It was a great ball from Ryan Williams and a header from John gave the keeper no chance.
‘That bit of quality has won us the game. In the second half, we got into a pattern. Fleetwood only really had one shot my keeper took comfortably.
‘We had one big chance from Michael Jacobs where the keeper made a great save to his right.
‘Ultimately, it didn’t really get going and that suited us at 1-0 up and the away side.
‘We worked hard, showed great team spirit and fantastic defensive awareness to close the opposition down.
