Green light for Portsmouth players to face Oxford after latest round of Covid-19 testing
Pompey’s players have all been given the green light to feature against Oxford United in the League One play-offs.
That’s after all Covid-19 tests came back negative following the latest round of EFL testing today.
As a result, Kenny Jackett will have a full complement of players available to face Karl Robinson's men at Fratton Park on Friday and their return leg at the Kassam Stadium three days later.
The U’s also had no negative test results, likewise Fleetwood or Wycombe who meet in the other semi-final.
An EFL statement said: ‘The EFL can confirm that 311 players and club staff were tested from four League One clubs over the course of the past week, with zero individuals testing positive.’
One unnamed Pompey player who has yet to return to training due to personal reasons has been ruled out of the entire play-off campaign by Jackett.
