The promising 18-year-old replaces Callum Johnson at right-back – among four changes to the side which drew 2-2 at Plymouth on Monday night.

Jack Whatmough returns to the defence, while Ellis Harrison and Ronan Curtis are also back in Kenny Jackett’s starting XI.

Curtis had been away on Republic of Ireland international duty for the Blues’ last two fixtures, but comes in on Pompey’s left flank.

Making way are Ben Close and Rasmus Nicolaisen, with Ryan Williams absent through the groin issue which troubled him at Home Park.

Intriguingly, Jackett has paired Harrison with John Marquis in attack, allowing Marcus Harness to operate on the right wing.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Craig MacGillivray makes his 100th Pompey appearance.

Pompey: MacGillivray, Mnoga, Whatmough, Raggett, Pring, Harness, Naylor, Naylor, Curtis, Harrison, Marquis.

Subs: Bass, Johnson, Brown, Nicolaisen, Morris, Close, Hiwula.
