The Blues academy graduate played an important role in their superb run in the FA Cup. He featured in wins over AFC Wimbledon and Leeds, as well as the fifth-round loss to Premier League heavyweights Arsenal.

‘But in the National League South, it’s more difficult.
‘I’m not sure Adam would view us as being in a good enough league for him to come.
‘The thing with me is it won’t stop me asking the question. I’m quite used to getting rebuffed.
‘We’ll go for players that people won’t think we can get, but we’ll try to get them.’
